The 2026 Paws for Sophie Calendar has arrived, featuring 13 incredible pets who helped raise over $3,700 for Sophie’s Legacy. Every purchase helps continue their mission to improve mental health awareness and support for veterinary professionals across Australia.
Sophie’s Legacy was founded in memory of Sophie, a passionate young veterinarian who tragically lost her life to suicide. The charity is dedicated to creating lasting change in the veterinary industry by raising awareness, improving mental health support and advocating for better conditions for those who care for our animals every day.
By purchasing this calendar, you’re helping spread Sophie’s message and supporting a safer, more sustainable future for vets, nurses and all animal care workers.

About the fundraiser
The Paws for Sophie calendar began as a simple idea to bring together our love for pets while raising funds and awareness for a cause that touches the hearts of everyone who works with animals. In May, we launched the Paws for Sophie photo contest, inviting pet owners from across Sydney to enter their favourite photo of their furry best friend for just $5. Each entry gave people the chance to win a professional photo session with Allira Fontana Photography and a covered spot in the 2026 Paws for Sophie calendar.
Voting was open to everyone, with $1 equalling one vote. The response was incredible, with hundreds of votes flooding in and so many heartfelt messages of support for the cause.
By the end of the contest, we had raised over $3,700 for Sophie’s Legacy! Thirteen lucky pets were chosen as calendar stars, each capturing their own personality in a special photo session to feature in the final 2026 calendar.
And now, the calendar is nearly here! Pre-sales have opened, so get yours today as limited numbers of calendars will be printed.
About the photographer
I’m Allira Fontana, a Sydney-based dog and horse photographer with a passion for capturing the heart and soul of our beloved animals. Over the years, I’ve photographed hundreds of pets and their people, and this project has been one of the most meaningful yet. Bringing together our love for animals and the incredible work of Sophie’s Legacy has been my drive behind the fundraiser.
Having many clients and friends who work in the vet industry, I know it is an equally rewarding and challenging career. Experiencing such amazing highs of saving beloved pets, to soul crushing lows. Those who work in the vet industry work long hours to keep out pets happy and healthy. This year, I wanted to start this fundraiser to support these amazing unsung heros.
