I met Heather in May when she came to the shelter to rescue
a 14 year old German Shepherd by the name of Rusty. Thank goodness for rescues,
gorgeous Rusty left the shelter that day with Heather to live his life in comfort
and with love.
A few months passed and in October Heather contacted me about doing a photo
session with her two German Shepherds Winston and Trina, both rescued from the
pound and now living their lives in luxury. How could I refuse!
Lucky for us Mother Nature was being kind and gave us a glorious Spring
afternoon for the photo session. Since Winston and Trina are both elder dogs we
opted for a more relaxed session with little running and movement. Winston,
being a little older than Trina, has soreness in his back legs so we explored
the park at a leisurely pace.
We started with some sitting and lying shots in a grassy of Winston and Trina
together, which provided difficult because all Winston wanted was a pat from
mum!
Then Trina worked the camera to show off her irresistible head tilt.
Since Winston didn't want to be shown up by his younger fur sister Trina, he
proved to us he can still pull off the German Shepherd pose.
We then ventured into the forest to get some images between
the undergrowth.
Family portrait time!
Having a rest, photo sessions are tiring work.
Last but not least we took some more family shots in the setting sunlight.
