Trapper's photo session at Strickland State Forest

How have I not heard of Strickland State Forest until this year?! Honestly, it's like walking through a fairytale.

I had such a fun afternoon with Trapper the 1 year old German Shepherd and his pet parent Allison. He is a big friendly giant, and had a ball during his session running through the muddy paths and into the streams. I swear he was a model in a previous life, I couldn't take a bad photo of him.

Allison has done a lot of training with him, which made posing him and my job photographing him a breeze. He stood on any fallen log, branch or walkway like he was born to do it. I was able to capture a wide variety of images of him, including some super goofy images of him running toward me with his stick.

I would love to do more sessions at this stunning location, will I meet you and your dog here?
