Sophie's photo session at Scheyville National Park

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of photographing Sophie and her grey pony, Smokey, at the picturesque Scheyville National Park. The weather was perfect for our session, beginning with the warm glow of summer sun and concluding with a lightly clouded sunset that painted the sky.

One of the things Sophie and Smokey love doing together is going on endurance riding adventures. Smokey isn’t just an endurance pony; he also knows a few tricks, including bowing and smiling. 

We captured a mix of candid and posed shots throughout the session. The highlight was undoubtedly the bareback photos in the large grassy paddock, where Sophie and Smokey looked perfectly in sync against the serene backdrop.

This session was part of a Horses Birthday special offer that Sophie had purchased. The package included the session itself, $150 of credit and an 8" x 12" acrylic block. Booking the session a few months later in summer turned out to be ideal, with the perfect weather complementing Smokey’s summer coat and the lush greenery of the national park.

During her viewing and ordering appointment, Sophie selected a five digital file package and chose a stunning image for her included acrylic block. It was heart-warming to see her so pleased with the results, and the chosen photo beautifully encapsulates the bond between her and Smokey.
