There is something special about capturing the bond a young girl has with her dogs, and my session with Rusty, Riot, Loki and their family was no different.
Rusty, Riot and Loki are dog sport superstars, competing in agility and flyball as well as being extremely obedient. And, not to be a biased Border Collie owner myself, are simply stunning dogs! Our photo session was held at Rouse Hill Regional Park, which I love as a location due to the huge variety of scenery and being dog friendly.
We began our session with some family photos of all three dogs and their pet parents, Nathan, Chloe and little Alexis. Having super obedient dogs sure helped with getting everyone smiling at the camera and looking at me. We them moved on to getting photos of the dogs with Alexis, finishing up in that location with photos of Alexis with the youngest member of the pack Loki.
I wanted to capture images of the dogs individually and as a group also, which gave time for Alexis to have a break and run around with her dad while Chloe and I focused on individual photos of Rusty, then Riot, then Loki. Of course we had to get a few group images too!
Our second last location for the afternoon was next to the small lake at the entrance of the park. We captured more family images, as well as a few cute photos of each dog again.
As the light faded, we took both posed and candid family images as the dogs had a break from being superstar models.
During our viewing and ordering appointment a few weeks later, Nathan and Chloe opted for my all inclusive digital file package, 8" x 12" acrylic block and a 16" x 20" framed print, which you can view below with a few of my favourite images from the session.
