At the end of September I received a last minute email from Ellie, the founder of Penny Marathon, asking if I was able to photograph their annual event in the city on the 2nd of October. Luckily, I was available to help out, and I had a wonderful morning supporting a worthy cause.
The Penny Marathon was founded to help homeless dogs and cats all over the world by raising money for medical emergencies, boarding, food and bedding, spay and neutering, vaccinations, travel and other essential costs. Each year a marathon is organised on the same day around the world to help raise awareness of the many hundreds and thousands of homeless dogs and cats.
With all the unpredictable weather in Sydney lately, we were very lucky to not have any rain on the morning for the marathon. It was a successful marathon with quite a few people and dog participating.
Below are just some of the photos from the event. If you would like to view all of the photos taken, click here to be taken to the gallery on the Penny Marathon Facebook page.
