The windy weather was not on our side the hours leading up to my photo session with Melissa and Christine. We tossed up whether or not to go ahead. But, lucky for us, the spot we met at at Scheyville National Park was well protected and the session went off without a hitch.
Melissa brought along her stunning copper bay Quarab stallion Shyboy with her beautiful sister Christine and her grey Arabian Brock. Scheyville National Park is a stunning location for equine photo sessions, complete with tree-lined paths and wide open paddocks. There is plenty of parking for horse floats, and the best part is no dogs are allowed at the park as it is strictly for horses and their riders. Or, in my case, perfect for equine photo sessions!
I was so excited when Melissa told me she brought along an Arabian horse halter and chest piece for Brock to wear! It was stunning and made for some amazing images as the sun was going down. We had perfect late afternoon sunlight, ending with a colourful sunset also perfect for silhouette images.
