I have been following Ms Lola on Instagram for a while, and was so excited to finally meet her and her pet parent, Maxine. Maxine also volunteers with Rescue Hub, the rescue group I work with. I
hadn't had the chance to meet her until our photo session, it was good
to put a face to a name!
Lola is reactive to other dogs, so we chose Castle Hill Heritage Park on a weekday afternoon when there would be much fewer dogs and distractions. Lola did so well, a little anxious but shared a few smiles with us during her session. As the park is not off lead, all the dogs who were in the park were walking for their afternoon exercise and left us alone for our photo session. No dogs approaching us off lead, a big relief! Lola herself was on a slip lead throughout the whole session, a thin yet strong lead that is quick and easy to edit out in post production.
Although we had a mainly overcast afternoon, I was able to capture some beautiful images before we had a quick ray of sunshine to end our session.
Below are just some of the images captured during our session. If you would like to view more, and follow Lola on Instagram, click here.
