Juno and Ember's photo session at Rouse Hill Regional Park

There’s nothing quite like spending a day with Golden Retrievers, and my recent photo session with Juno and Ember at Rouse Hill Regional Park was no exception. This was my second session with the ever-charming Juno, but it was my first time meeting the delightful Ember.

We explored four different spots in the park, although the weather kept us on our toes—it started off bright and sunny, but halfway through, the clouds decided to join us. Despite the changing conditions, Juno and Ember brought their own sunshine to the session and had a blast. Their playful energy and the bond between them were a joy to capture.

Following park rules, both dogs were on leads throughout the session, but with a bit of Photoshop magic, I edited the leads out of the final images. Most of my sessions are on lead, for both safety and ease during a session. Dogs seem to know when they are on a lead that they must sit and stay better than if there were no lead at all. This helps in capturing those perfect poses and candid moments without any hassle.

Katie, their pet parent, was thrilled with the results. She selected a stunning wall art collection featuring her three favorite images, a custom 8" x 10" photo album, and a beautifully framed glassless print. Additionally, she received a digital file collection of all the images from the session. The joy and satisfaction on her face when she saw the final products were incredibly rewarding.

Golden Retrievers truly have a way of making every moment special. Juno and Ember’s session was a testament to their playful spirits and the strong bond they share. Capturing these moments was an absolute delight, and I look forward to more adventures with these wonderful dogs!
