There is just something so regal about German Shepherds. They are not my breed of choice, purely because my lifestyle does not suit the breed and their needs, but I absolutely love photographing them. So, when I got the chance to photograph two German Shepherds and a White Swiss Shepherd, I was over the moon!
I have had a new park on my radar as a potential photo session location for a while now, and I decided to meet Crystal and her three gorgeous dogs Junem, Eshke and Azizam there to test it out. Located in Beaumont Hills, Strangers Creek is a beautiful stretch of parkland right in the middle of suburbia. There are various entrances and spots throughout the park, and we decided to stay near the man-made lake and timber dock. It was a lovely afternoon and the park was stunning, but seeing as lots of locals let their dogs off lead and it is near some major roads, I decided against using it as a photo session location in the future.
This didn't stop us capturing some lovely photos of all three dogs. Azizam, the youngest German Shepherd, came along for some exposure to a new location and only posed for a few images. But my goodness she is a stunning young lady! Her two fur siblings, Junem the White Swiss and Eshke the German Shepherd posed like seasoned professionals, posing both together and separately like they were born to model.
Our session ended with some action shots of both Junem and Eshke running for their favourite toy in the setting sun. It's such a shame that the park is not suitable for my photography needs, but I know Crystal will cherish these images for years to come and that's what it is all about!
