Community over competition, it may be controversial but it's the hill I will die on.
I'm not going to lie, running a photography business is not all sunshine and rainbows. It comes with its ups and downs, and it's not as glamours as some people may think. So why is hating on others so acceptable? It's hard enough, why make it harder for a fellow human being?
From day one, I vowed I would never be this way. I am all for community over competition, and because of this I have met so many wonderful small business owners who I have both helped and have helped me. I am honored to call these people my friends.
And its because of these friendships I have some special photos of myself doing the job I love. Earlier this week Brooklyn from Bmg photography sent me these two behind the scene photos from a recent equine photo session, which I am so thankful for.
My other friend, Georgia from Pup Culture Dog Grooming, captured these images while I was photographing Frankie, Snickers, Lola and Boy George. And yes, that is Boy George sitting on my back.
Adulthood is hard enough, let's be a bit kinder to our fellow small business owners and not hate on one another.
