I love supporting rescue groups with my work, whether it is capturing portraits of dogs available for adoption or helping capture and create fundraising calendars.
This year was my second year volunteering with German Shepherd Rescue NSW helping them capture images for their yearly calendar. I had the pleasure of photography nine different Shepherds, ranging from puppies all the way to golden oldies. We all met at my favourite park, Fagan Park, and lucky for us the residual smoke from previous bush fires did not completely cover up the sunlight.
After images were captured of all the German Shepherds, we came together to organise and capture a big group image with six of the nine dogs. Although the dogs were fine to be near each other, it was easier to position, capture then edit an image of all six dogs combined to create the final group image.
If you would like to order your own copy of the calendar, please email the rescue volunteers at gsdrescuensw@gmail.com.
