Dawnus Kennels photo session at Rouse Hill Regional Park

22 March, 2025

My photo session with three gorgeous Field Spaniels from Dawnus Kennels by the names of Cricket, Fly, and Phoenix was certainly one to remember! We met at Rouse Hill Regional Park, ready to capture some beautiful portraits of these stunning dogs. However, Mother Nature had other plans, as a huge storm rolled in about an hour into the session.

Before the storm hit, we focused on individual portraits on the grass, making the most of the soft, natural light. As the sky darkened, we quickly packed up and sheltered in our cars, waiting for the downpour to pass. Thankfully, after about 30 minutes, the storm moved on, leaving behind a refreshed, vibrant setting. We resumed the session with some stunning photos on a log and ended with a lovely group shot of all three dogs together.

Despite the unexpected weather, Cricket, Fly, and Phoenix were absolute stars, and their owner, Steph, was thrilled with the final images. During her viewing and ordering appointment, she selected my ten digital file collection, ensuring she has a beautiful keepsake of this unique and adventurous session.
