What happens when a Beagle-loving family foster an American Staffordshire Terrier for six months? The American Staffy thinks he is a Beagle and becomes a foster fail.
The beautiful Black family fostered Marvin back in June 2016 after Marvin had been in the pound for more than 4 months. No one wanted Marvin because he could scale fencing, just to be with people. After months of dedicated training and learning from his foster Beagle brother Baldrick and sister Bodie, Marvin now feels safe and loved again.
In recent times Bodie, the eldest Beagle, hasn't been feeling her best, which is why I suggested a photo session to the Black family. I wanted to capture some images of Bodie in the comfort of her home, as well as including Baldrick and Marvin.
Bodie Beagle keeping an eye on me at the start of the photo session. I always begin my photo sessions getting to know each dog and showing them that my camera gear is nothing to be afraid of.
Baldrick Beagle didn't want to be left out! He jumped onto the lounge and showed us his "don't leave me out" look.
"Please mum, can we have a biscuit? Look how good we can sit together!"
The photo session was held on a hot summer afternoon, as the sun started going down and the temperature dropped we moved into the lush back garden.
Marvin has come such a long way since his days in the pound, he is now a happy, healthy boy who loves his family.
Marvin's favourite toy is his rope, as you can see he absolutely LOVES it!
The old brick wall in the courtyard was a perfect backdrop for Miss Bodie.
Those puppy dog eyes are to die for!
As the afternoon came to a close, Bodie had a little rest on the back deck. Don't those eyes say it all!
