April and Somone's wedding at Southern Highlands Winery

It is every girl's dream to find that special someone, have a gorgeous wedding and be able to share that day with their horses. And, for April and Somone, their dream came true in April 2021.

I received an email in 2020 from April and Somone asking if I would be available to photograph their wedding the following year. I have done the occasional wedding here and there, but pets and horses are definitely my forte. But, that is exactly why both April and Somone asked me to photograph their wedding, they wanted an equine specific photographer to capture their special day with their Heavy Horses.

Photographing horses are not like any other subjects, there is a fine line between an awesome and a bad equine image. Which is exactly why I was asked to attend. April and Somone wanted to make sure their images after the ceremony with the horses were picture-perfect.

It was the most beautiful wedding, reception and location, pretty much my dream wedding! And no, I am not making the change to wedding photography. But, how could I have said no to photographing a wedding with Heavy Horses?!
